"Photography by Andy Warren" - About me.

This website is a brief showcase of some of my more recent work.

A background in Photography started many years ago when as a schoolboy hobby, I began capturing images of the last steam locomotives of British Railways in the late 1960's. This interest later expanded and developed my interest in photography to include other subject matter in my images, with adventures to overseas locations where I could photograph steam locomotives at work in some more remote, often spectacular landscapes.

Skills learned in Photography provided opportunities for me to tap into ventures for a secondary income to help raise funds for my equipment and travels, with commissions in 'Wedding and Portrait Photography' and occasional small time 'Commercial projects'. These were the early stages of my business venture.

In the early 1980's I migrated to Australia where I continued to hone my photographic skills. In 1994 an opportunity arose for a position with the Newcastle Master Builders Association as their recommended photographer for the newly established annual Hunter Region 'Excellence in Building Awards' This position has been a mainstay of my business since that time with a large portion of my clients MBA members.

My clientele are almost exclusively involved in 'Architecture and Building' in some way. I am and remain very grateful to the Newcastle MBA and the many Builders, Architects and associated Trades in the Hunter Region for their support and custom during the last 25 years.

I have included here an example of images I have captured in more recent times. The Face of Newcastle and Hunter Region are going through some interesting and exciting times in the Building Industry at present and my aim is to capture and portray this quality work in my images as the opportunities arise.
